Objectives

The objective of OliWasTex is to implement a process that consists of extracting the coloring fraction from olive pomace and using it to dye textile substrates, including the dyeing process. OliWastex aims to revalue alperujo to obtain raw material for textile dyeing through a simple extraction process, boosting the economy of local olive oil producers. In addition, industrial dyers will benefit by offering a new line of sustainable products with their existing machinery.

We believe that the whole process is of interest to other stakeholders because it is a new and affordable dyeing process. Increasing the supply of this type of product will contribute to changing consumption habits.
